We’re running a building competition, first prize is having your building copied over to new spawn!
There are a few things to explain about this competition, so PLEASE READ THE WHOLE POST. If you don’t read the whole post, and ask silly questions, we’ll get unhappy at you.

The details are as follows:

Build a building in the area provided. The best building, as judged by staff, wins.

There are some keywords to think about when it comes to fitting in with the ‘theme’ of spawn: Light, pretty, colourful, ethereal, flowery, airy.

Definitely NOT medieval, dark, “modern”, heavy.

We’ve set aside an area for the competition, in the event world, and you all get creative mode. You have to be a + or donor to compete, though. Changed my mind. Open to everyone.
There’s an area you have to build inside of, outlined in quartz steps. Think of this area like an island or cave, so you can’t really build outside of it.
The red-stone blocks indicate the entranceway. Think of a path or hallway joining up to the build area.
The building can’t be too big or too small. The floor is grass, and you can, if you like, have plants on it.
There’s no time limit set yet — we’ll make an announcement when it’s time to stop building.
You can build in teams if you like, up to about three people or so.
Please don’t build a house. If it’s a house, it won’t win.

If you grief in the build area, you’ll be permabanned. From all servers. No chances. You’ve been warned.

You can’t start yet, though! You can get to the build area by going to the /event server, and doing “/warp buildcomp”, so you have an idea of the space you have to work in.

The build competition will start on Friday evening after Friday Night Games. Start thinking about what you’re going to build!
