We were DDOSed again yesterday

But as we had a bit of preparation time, we’re now able to fend off these attacks, and hopefully no-one should even notice them.

We’ve moved everything to Microsoft’s Azure hosting platform, in Singapore. This does mean that it’s now stupidly expensive to host MCAU again, but, we’re DDOS proof.

More information to come. And thanks for your support. I love you guys 8)

  1. Hey, Im sorry to hear that.

I have a company you might wanna look at for hosting your server, i host with them and its cheap and affordable.

    there website: hypernia.com

They have dedicated servers at cheap prices 😀

Hope this will help but they have DDOS Protected Servers.

  2. The sort of people that would do that to a server like mcau are just broken, nothing else can explain it.
Let us know when you are accepting donations again 🙂
    Thanks

  3. Happy to pitch in and donate once hosting is sorted out. Hopefully Azure is lots of meat not just lure.

Are you able to disclose what the hosting bill is every month?

  4. Can you tell us some more about what kind of DDoS attacks you’re seeing?

I’m curious as to whether it is the kind of thing which could be protected against by an application specific proxy and/or kernel tuning.

  5. i wish i knew who were doing these DDOS attacks, i’d like to rearrange their faces in a violent manner. these people are scum, same type of people that vandalise other people properties.
