There’s a test server up for 1.8, it’s got no plugins (because they’re not available yet!) but it’s up and ready to go. If you want to log in and have a play, feel free, just remember that there’s no regions or anything, so you’ll probably get griefed. We’ll ban people who suck, but we’re not able to do too much else.

How long before u ditch it? is it going to be permanent? are u going to do a server wipe?
The fact that it’s called “temp”, short for “temporary” should clue you in as to whether or not it’s permanent. Yes, the server will be wiped. We do not know how long the map will be up: It will be up until CraftBukkit / Spigot release a build for 1.8.

Hi, I was just curious on what you run the server with to make it 1.8 with plugins. Due to bukkit unfortunately discontinuing as of 1.7.9

We’re using the vanilla 1.8 server with a heap of hackyness and code going on in the background. We won’t be releasing any of the code that makes this possible, sorry.
Hi, I have been a player since 2011, before 1.8.
How come the word temp is crossed out has the servers been updated??
The temp server is now located on “mcau.org”, no “temp”. It’s still temporary, though. 🙂
Awesome I cant wait till 1.8 Craftbukkit comes out …Ahhh all the new inventions and blocks.

There is no update. We’d have made a post if there was. What we’re waiting on is not managed by us or in our control.
